The hand carved prototype was made on a maple board assembled by Jeremy Schrock, owner of Schrock’s Custom Woodwork. The board was framed in walnut with maple side splines and was the last in a series of six boards hand carved by Mike Fricke. The series included two tactile periodic tables, the Alchemist, a city skyline and a map.
